A late medieval view of Arundel House in The Strand

Arundel House was the medieval townhouse of the bishops of Bath and Wells. During the dissolution of the monasteries in the sixteenth century it passed into the private ownership of Thomas Seymour. It was from the roof of Arundel house that Wenceslaus Hollar drew his mid-seventeenth century view of London.

The house was demolished in 1678.
