Plan of Regent's Canal and Regent's Park c. 1829
Begun in 1812 and completed by 1820, the Regent's Canal ran from Limehouse, through Stepney and Hackney, through a tunnel to Islington and Campden Town, through another tunnel under St John's Wood and Maida Hill, past Regent's Park to a Grand Junction Canal at Paddington Basin.
