Ancient Buildings in Fleet Street

These Elizabethan buildings in Fleet Street were described by Regency commentators as utterly "uncouth" and worthy of little attention. A passage through these buildings led to a number of rooms which contained the popular Rackstraw's Museum of Natural Curiosities (this closed down in the very early nineteenth century).
