St Sepulchre, Skinner Street, Snow Hill

The church of St Sepulchre's stood very close to Newgate Prison. There is a handbell within St Sepulchre's which is said to have been rung the night before a prisoner's execution to mark their last night on earth.

The church was badly damaged in the fire of 1666 but was repaired shortly thereafter.
