Dyers' Hall, little Elbow Lane

Dyers' Hall stood at a small distance from the Inn-Holders' Hall in Great Elbow Lane. The Dyers' Hall was previously near Old Swan Lane in Thames Street, but it was destroyed in the Great Fire and warehouses erected in its place, so the Dyers moved to this spot and converted a house to their needs. They had a charter to keep the swans on the River Thames.
