St Mary Aldermary

Near the middle of Bow Lane is the church of St Mary Aldermary (old English for Old Mary). The church was originally medieval, and probably predates the nearby St Mary-le-Bow (thus the 'older Mary'), but was rebuilt first in the sixteenth century, then in the early seventeenth century, then once again after the Great Fire of London in 1666.
