Eton College c. 1803

"This noble seminar of learning was founded by Henry VI in 1440 for a provost, ten priests, six clerks, six choristers, twenty-five poor grammar scholars (with a master to teach them) and twenty-five aged almsmen and directed to be called, "The College Roiall of our Ladie Eton beside Windesor"."

And thus it has remained (perhaps now lacking the aged almsmen).
