Hornsey, Middlesex

In the Georgian period Hornsey was still very much a rural parish, although the village contained many respectable homes. It contained within its boundaries Muswell-hill, Crouch-end and Stroud Green.

The church was a somewhat plain stone structure, built about 1500, and furnished similarly plainly if neatly.
