South Mims

Situated on the road to St Albans at a distance of fifteen miles from London, during the Regency period this village consisted of buildings of a largely indifferent nature, but with an abundance of inns for travellers. Most of the parish was agricultural land.

The church is of medieval origins although with many later additions and renovations.
