Bentley Priory

Bentley Priory, on the north-east extremity of Harrow Weald and in the close vicinity of Stanmore, was the seat of the Marquis of Abercorn in the Regency period. Formerly a religious house called Benethley stood on the site; this was annexed by Henry VIII during the dissolution of the monasteries and subsequently passed into private hands. The Bentley Priory pictured above was built on the site in the late eighteenth century.
