Harrow on the Hill

Harrow on the Hill, a village ten miles distant from London, was famous for its school, Harrow, and during the Georgian period derived some considerable financial benefits from the school's presence. Harrow on the Hill was clearly visible from London, and often appears in panoramic views of London of the seventeenth through nineteenth centuries. The two views presented here are essentially the same, although the one below is slightly 'neater'.
