Castle-Hill Lodge

One mile out of the village of Ealing sat Castle-hill Lodge, belonging to the Duke of Kent. Previously the lodge had been owned by Henry Beaufoy, and for some time was also occupied by Mrs Fitzherbert. The Duke of Kent considerably expanded the house during the Regency period although the lodge remained "not quite of the first class of noble mansions".
