St Dunstan's-in-the-East, Idol Lane

An engraving showing the medieval church and Sir Christopher Wren's spire. During the Great Fire the medieval wooden steeple burned, but the medieval nave was saved. The medieval structure was rebuilt in the mid-nineteenth century, and the entire church was razed during the Blitz. Today only Wren's spire has been rebuilt.
