A view of Blackfriar's Bridge Toward St Paul's

Also known during the Georgian period as Pitt's Bridge, Blackfriar's Bridge was constructed between 1760-1769 at a cost of £230,000 and became the third bridge to span the Thames after London and Westminster Bridges. It not only served a useful purpose for conveying traffic, but became a popular vantage point for views of the city.
