The Skinners' Hall, Dowgate Hill

A 'handsome and convenient structure of Ionic order' standing on its ancient site on Dowgate Hill (the medieval hall burned down in the Great Fire of London in 1666). The front was rebuilt in the late eighteenth century. The hall was damaged during World War II but has now been restored.
